This means that the temperature will be cooler than it was today, however, we should still see temperatures in the upper 30's which is pretty darn good for Wisconsin in January.

1/31/2012
I first stepped outside today around 7:30 a.m. and I believe the temperature was around 28°F but it still felt a little cold. This was mostly due to the cloudy skies. There was probably 85% cloud cover with cirrostratus clouds predominate. The clouds started to dissipate as the day went on and we reached a daily high of 43 which came very close to the record high of 43 set in 1952. Winds are starting to pick up more now in the evening coming out of WSW at 16 mph with the barometric pressure increasing rapidly as well which means that a system of high pressure(Cold Front) is moving into the area as you can see in the map below. A cold front is indicated by the blue and warm front in red. Because cold air is heavy, it does not rise and brings a lot of pressure therefore it is called a High Pressure system.
